Solomon king: Act 1

King Solomon
Act 1: The Gift of wisdom

3000 Thousands years ago, the bible tells us the wisest of all men ruled the kingdom of Israel. The monarch name was Solomon; the source of wisdom was said to be divine he could see into the human heart. And it was said even understand the language of the beasts.

According to tradition, this legendary kept a harem of thousand women of the walls of his holy temple was said to be line with the purest gold, but today king Solomon’s fable kingdom has crumble to dust. His very existence has been called delusion. Roots of Solomon legend can be trace back to the pivotal moment in time to the days when Solomon’s fathers the warrior king David laid die again his palace. David seventeen sons gathered at the royal court, all claimers to the throne
among them is mere boy, according to Jewish legend barely twelve years old his name is Solomon. it is now as David lies near death that Solomon’s mother Beth Sheeba approaches frail king’s bedside and she said onto him, “my lord your sword your servant by the lord your guard saying your son Solomon shall have succeeded as king and shall set on my throne.

Even though Solomon is not first in line to inherit the throne. David exceed to the Beth Sheebas wishes. Too sick to rule David proclaim Solomon king but many are left wondering does this youth have a knowledge or vision to rule the people of Israel.
One of the problem with having such a pampered young prince, someone almost born with silver spoon in his mouth is that he no longer feels the connection with the lives of the people he has to rule.
As young Solomon confronts the wage of new responsibility one can only imagine a fear and an uneasiness that trouble his heart.
His father seems to be someone who was matured and know what he was doing and had a pave to follow where is he Solomon even though he was already a king and felt like a little child.
No sooner does David die than the fledge linking Solomon find his reign and crisis. Taking advantage of this period of grief and uncertainty one of Solomon’s half-brother attempts to overthrow the young monarch. Solomon quills the rebellion and condemns his half-brother to death. It is soon afterward that Solomon’s journeys to the hill top named Gibeon centaury just outside Jerusalem, there he beautifully sacrifices to god, never imagined that he was about to experience the defining moment of his life, that night god appears before Solomon in a dream.

And a god said ask what I shall give thee and Solomon said onto god, “I am but a little child I know not how to go out and come in give these for to me wise servant and understanding heart to judge thy people that I may discern between good and bad.
This is exactly what god wants to hear and god says well because you could have asked for anything but you only ask for wisdom. I am not only going to give you wisdom I am going to give you everything else too.
Scholars have speculated about the nature of the extraordinary power gods grants to Solomon. Infringing clues may be found in the book of Jewish orro tradition known as Talmud.
He woke up and he heard the bang of donkey and the chirping of bird and he understood what they were saying and he realized that the dream had come true.
Had god endow Solomon with the transcendent capacity to become one with the universe.
What an unbelievable moment that must with the Solomon to walk outside realize that somehow, he was tune with the language of flower he could hear the leaves to grass whispering to each other what’s secret do they tell

As profoundly moving as the legend of Solomon’s transformation is some scholars question whether this incident is actually occurred. Many biblical scholars suspect that the story of Solomon very modestly asking god for wisdom and nothing else is rather fanciful piece of propaganda written by the court of Solomon to support his being a king. After this moment Solomon would claim that his power stand from his special relationship with god. It was not unusual for a king to govern by such divine authority making at very difficult for anyone to oppose his rule. Therefore, long the young king wisdom would be put to the test in a baffling legal case one approached by two women each claiming same baby as her own. Solomon is asked to discern the identity of the real mother. How does he arrive at his famous decision?
