Solomon king: Act 4

Solomon king
Act 4: Queen of Sheeba

For years the mighty king Solomon has surely heard whispering of a lush and prosperous land called Sheeba lying far to the south of Egypt. The kingdom is ruled by a shroud and powerful prosper by cultivating an aromatic plant used as incense although the primary source of sheeba’s encountered with Solomon comes to us from the bango. So many corresponding tales of their liaison have been passed down by other cultures. Yet many experts believed Sheeba to be a historical figure, if so where was her fabled kingdom.
There are number of good possibilities one is that Sheeba is really another name or another term for a ulnar place called Soba which is in south Arabia however there is also kind Ethiopian connection to Sheeba. We know that there are many references in bible to the kingdom of Kush of what we called today Ethiopia we know that it was a flourishing kingdom. So, it’s not outside of the possibility that a dignitary a female dignitary from the kingdom of Kush would have come on diplomatic visits that would have included Jerusalem.
Many scholars have wondered if the queen of Sheeba did come from Ethiopia what she has African descent.
Some people think she might have been quite dark skin. She might have been African but even if she was from Arabia she was also dark.
According to Ethiopian legend Solomon’s send the queen a message attach to the wings of a bird.
He simply cannot stand the idea of anyone out their ruling independently who has not acknowledged to him to be superior.
In the letter Solomon ordered Sheeba to appear before him, he tells her that the trip to Jerusalem should take seven years in spite the potential dangers of such a journey Sheeba seems drawn to him by destiny.
When the Queen of Sheeba heard of the fame of Solomon. Fame due to the name of the lord. She come to test him with riddles.
In the Ethiopian legend, Sheeba sets out by camel caravan crossing three thousand miles of burning desert. Meanwhile Solomon is heard strangely unsettling rumors about the queen it is whispered that Sheeba may be part demon as a result of her pact with the spirits of darkness. She may not have a leg and feet of an ordinary women, but may poses thee hoofs of a goat. Nervously anticipating her arrivals in Jerusalem, Solomon devises a scheme that will for sheeba to reveal her ledged demons’ feet. He installs a pool of water in his throne filling it with fish and covering it with a sheet of glass. When Sheeba arrives sooner than expected Solomon is caught off guard is her under argue approached the palace gates as she makes her towards his thrown room, a king carefully observed her every move. She hesitates of the parameter of the pool as she lifts her skirts her ankles are revealed do his relief Solomon sees that Sheeba is human after all.
There’s been days apparently just challenging each other with riddles. His riddles seem to be design to show off his knowledge of the natural world. Her riddle seems to be more seductive and more personal.

Legend tells us that Solomon is intensely drawn to Sheeba.
The minute Solomon sees her he wants her but she is extremely virtuous. So, in some of the legends he actually said out to seduce her because he understands he cannot have her in any other way.
Some experts even believe that Solomon may have written the song of songs. A series of erotic poems that appears in the bible to express his desire for the queen.
“You have lavished my heart my bride who have lavished my heart with glows of your eyes.”
Some of verses of the song of songs have been thought to be about the queen of Sheeba specially those verses that say I am dark but beautiful o daughter of Jerusalem.
Scholars had wondered if indeed Sheeba was of darker skin color than Solomon. How would this difference had been viewed?
There would have been no sense this is not interventional affair that is they would have hated it because she was foreign but that has nothing to do with her skin color.
The bible is aware of differences in skin color. But there is not attached to that differences any kind of moral judgement. There is no judgement passed on people because of their physical features or abs tend if racial prejudice was not a problem in the ancient world. There the obvious differences between Solomon and Sheeba would have been views’ as a source of attraction
That would be hard to sort out from a lot of other basis of attraction that the bible seems to point out. I mean Solomon displaying all of this wealth and this great wisdom. Was skin tone also an aspect of the attraction well maybe it certainly not outside the realm of possibilities.
After six months since Solomon courts Sheeba decides this is time to return home. Solomon in an uncharacteristic display of emotion makes her to stay for just one more day Sheeba agreed. Be at all physical attraction or perhaps even love, powerful forces seem to be driving these two strong personalities ever pursue together.
